A perfectionist at heart, Lauren concentrates her passion toward beauty for every client that sits in her chair. A product of the top mentors from Aveda, Lauren has honed her craft since 2003. Lauren's desire to share her love of the industry and eye for beauty took her on the path of becoming an educator for Aveda. She has mentored hundreds of students to success in both Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Columbus, Ohio. She has been a leader in many fashion and hair shows over the years as well as participated in and championed many charitable endeavors.
As the Color Coach at Aveda's Nurtur the Salon, Lauren channeled her creativity through education, as well as focused on enhancing her personal talents as a senior stylist and colorist. She finds inspiration by searching for that perfect artistic blend of color and design to not only enchance a person's physical beauty, but also their personality. Playing the unique role on a person's most important day is a huge passion of Lauren's. Whether that be a wedding, birthday, reunion, dance, or simply a fun night out, she has the ability to have you feeling and looking your best. Lauren has extensive experience with brides and bridal parties, and is always flexible to travel..
Lauren lives in Grandview with her husband Josh and her english bulldog Bernie. Although her main interests are in Columbus with her friends, family, and loyal clientele, Lauren desperately wants to travel the world. Italy, Ireland, and Chile! A self proclaimed "foodie" and wine connoisseur, Lauren enjoys all of the experiences Columbus has to offer.

I.Love.Lauren. She
is really open to trying new things, but always listens to me when I am looking for something specific. She is by far the best colorist I have ever experienced and I have experienced a lot. When you read of new hair trends in Cosmo, Allure, whatever, and they recommend salons in NY, LA, etc. she is the one who will be on top of it in Columbus. Her product line is wonderful and she in no way pressures you to buy. I came to Lauren initially to fix a bad dye job, and she not only fixed it, but I get compliments daily on my ombre hair. She is always learning something new and trendy, but I am getting married and absolutely trust her with my slightly more classic bridal style. Also, I have converted at least 3 people to Lauren AND my fiance who previously went to Great Clips. She is just that great.

the only person I have ever completely trusted my hair with. I can tell Lauren an idea, then let her tause her own creativity. She always does the perfect combonations of colors, and makes it look so natural. I've been a brunette and a blonde, and each time she does it, it ends up amazing. highlighted my hair for over 35 years. Throughout this time, I have been disappointed with many of the results. I have cried, changed salons, presented photos for reference, and still colorists have left me with brassy tones and colors THEY thought looked good. And some of these colorists have been employed by HIGH END/HIGH PRICED salons. ~~~THEN ALONG CAME LAUREN HAMBY. On my first visit, Lauren sat down with me and asked ME what I wanted. I explained to her, presented her with a photo, and wallah! it was a PERFECT color. Lauren has highlighted my hair for 2 years, and I have NEVER been disappointed. an amazing stylist and colorist. I have rather difficult hair-curly and color resistant- but she always gives me exactly the right cut and the color is always perfect.
