Jonah Hoover

I fell in to the hair world by chance, after giving up a career in hockey, but it fit like a glove. It all started at the Aveda Institute in Chicago, and then a two year apprenticeship at one of the top salons in Chicago. Over the next 6 years, as a Colorist and Cutter, I started being a cutting specialist. Im drawn to taking classic and elegant looks, then putting a natural and effortless twist on it. I achieve this with mainly Dry Cutting techniques and modern lived in styles.

After working for someone else for 6 years I realized, that to have an authentic experience with everyone who comes and sits in my chair, I had to go it alone. So I introduce to you Jay Hoover Hair, a collaborative between myself and each of my clients, where the salon experience is a little more laid back and natural, but the hair game is as elevated as possible.
