Hello, My name is Melissa Cruz and I love what I do! Cosmetologist since 2001- Seasoned Designer, Master Stylist, Master Colorist. I have been doing hair for 22 years. Everyday is an opportunity to create something beautiful! Education is my inspiration to learn and grow in this career. My Goal is to have guests loving their end result and coming back for more. Trust is the key.
My expertise is prescribing a "hair plan" that will get us to your Dream Hair! It may take 1 or more sessions depending on your end result but whatever that is for you, WE can create it together! I listen to my guests and come up with solutions to make the process simple and easy! Everything is about knowledge, timing and chemistry.
Keeping the health and integrity of your hair is my number one concern. Always educating myself on the latest trends and technology to keep you looking fresh with shiny healthy hair in any style!
WE ALL KNOW GREAT HAIR DOESN'T HAPPEN BY CHANCE, IT HAPPENS BY APPOINTMENT!
•Time is precious to both myself and my guests. I do require a 48 hour notice for any cancellation as it will allow me to fill the spot with another service or appointment.
•Come with clean, dry hair when arriving for any color service. This includes scalp cover up sprays and powders (as we do not wash hair before coloring and this can not allow the chemical to penetrate fully and can not be guaranteed unless doing a clarifying treatment prior to coloring).
*The myth of coming with dirty hair is outdated and false*
•Do not use face creams around the hairline the day of service as this will not allow stubborn grey to get full coverage (learned this after years of testing).
•Do not wash hair within 24 hours before a Perm, Relaxer or Keratin Treatment. This helps prevent scalp irritation or adverse reaction during chemical service. We will wash in salon for these services.

~For more permanent results, I recommend getting Hand Tied wefts or Tape-in extensions, that can last up to 6 months or more with proper care.
~For more temporary/every day results, I recommend purchasing a damage free Halo, Fall, Ponytail or Bang that can last 2 years or more with proper care.
Schedule a consultation to answer any questions and get your custom color/length match. 50% deposit is required before ordering extensions. The other half is due upon service completion. No returns or exchanges.
Funfacts: My salon was originally named Curls & Swirls and was founded 2006 in Naperville, IL. This is where I built my first successful business into 2 locations, and then moved to FL with my husband in 2016 to start it all over down here! Now he, (Roberto Cruz), has become a Cosmetologist and joined the Boss Bay Beauty team. You will see us both taking care of business!

My expertise is prescribing a "hair plan" that will get us to your Dream Hair! It may take 1 or more sessions depending on your end result but whatever that is for you, WE can create it together! I listen to my guests and come up with solutions to make the process simple and easy! Everything is about knowledge, timing and chemistry.
Keeping the health and integrity of your hair is my number one concern. Always educating myself on the latest trends and technology to keep you looking fresh with shiny healthy hair in any style!
WE ALL KNOW GREAT HAIR DOESN'T HAPPEN BY CHANCE, IT HAPPENS BY APPOINTMENT!
•Time is precious to both myself and my guests. I do require a 48 hour notice for any cancellation as it will allow me to fill the spot with another service or appointment.
•Come with clean, dry hair when arriving for any color service. This includes scalp cover up sprays and powders (as we do not wash hair before coloring and this can not allow the chemical to penetrate fully and can not be guaranteed unless doing a clarifying treatment prior to coloring).
*The myth of coming with dirty hair is outdated and false*
•Do not use face creams around the hairline the day of service as this will not allow stubborn grey to get full coverage (learned this after years of testing).
•Do not wash hair within 24 hours before a Perm, Relaxer or Keratin Treatment. This helps prevent scalp irritation or adverse reaction during chemical service. We will wash in salon for these services.

~For more permanent results, I recommend getting Hand Tied wefts or Tape-in extensions, that can last up to 6 months or more with proper care.
~For more temporary/every day results, I recommend purchasing a damage free Halo, Fall, Ponytail or Bang that can last 2 years or more with proper care.
Schedule a consultation to answer any questions and get your custom color/length match. 50% deposit is required before ordering extensions. The other half is due upon service completion. No returns or exchanges.

This is where I built my first successful business into 2 locations, and then moved to FL with my husband in 2016 to start it all over down here!
