About
Amber Hickman is the owner and stylist at Tailored Grooming with nearly 15 years in the industry dedicated exclusively to mens grooming. She began her career studying at the Aveda Institute in Chicago where she excelled in mens cutting. After graduating, Amber has continued to pursue her passion working as a mens hairstylist in some of the most reputable barbershops and salons in Chicago before opening her very own. From classic exceptional scissor cuts to precise cutting edge fades, she prides herself on providing the client with a tailored haircut designed specifically for him. When she isn’t in the salon, she’s working out, enjoying iced lattes, creating mood boards on Pinterest, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Alright gents, does anyone else get frustrated with either getting a cut that's "too salon" or "too barbershop"? I used to; but not anymore. Amber's background in both barbershop cuts as well as her training in traditional salon cuts has allowed her to blend the two and to top it off she only focuses on men's cuts. She's been cutting my hair for 3 years now and I can honestly say I'm not willing to go to anyone else. She's excellent at what she does and she's a wonderful, wonderful person to boot. I couldn't make a better recommendation for a men's stylist.
