Amber McAfee The Light Salon

Hi, I’m Amber McAfee! I’ve been bringing hair to life for 23 years, specializing in color from classic highlights to modern, lived-in styles. I work primarily with Schwarzkopf, Danger Jones, and Redken Shades EQ, and I’m trained in multiple color systems, including Aveda. 

Originally from Northeast Ohio, I moved to Maryland in 2020! I’m thrilled to move The Light Salon to the beautiful Salon Lofts. I combine my passion for hair with my faith, helping clients feel confident, radiant, and lighter when leaving their appointments. We also laugh ALOT!

I love creating event hairstyles, weddings, editorial etc.  though these need advance booking due to limited Saturday availability! 

Outside the salon, I’m a proud wife of a beautiful blended family of five kids, a sponky mini golden doodle and a cat!
