THE STORY BEHIND WOOD + VINE

WOOD + VINE Hair Co. was built from a love of the craft, a little bit of old-school barbering, and a desire to create a place that feels like more than just a haircut.

My name is Ashley and I’ve been doing hair for 12 years, with the last 9 years focused primarily on barbering. While barbering has become my specialty, I still love working with women’s hair from time to time. Over the years, I’ve found that what I enjoy most isn’t just creating a great haircut—it’s the connection that happens in the chair and the confidence people leave with when they feel like themselves again.

My specialty is detailed, traditional grooming, especially beard services and straight razor shaves. I also love creating fades and mullets—two styles that let me combine precision, creativity, and a little personality.

WOOD + VINE was inspired by the things I wanted my own space to represent.

Wood represents strength, craftsmanship, tradition, and something built to last. Vine represents growth, individuality, and the way something can take its own path while still putting down roots.

Those ideas feel especially fitting for me. After 12 years behind the chair, I’ve grown alongside this industry, continued learning, and found the kind of barbering that I’m truly passionate about.

Outside of the shop, I’m a mom to my baby boy and an animal lover with a house full of my own furry friends. I love the little things that make a place feel alive—plants, natural textures, animals, good conversation, and spaces that feel warm and welcoming.

That’s what I wanted WOOD + VINE to be.

A place where traditional barbering meets modern style. A place where you can come in for a fade, a mullet, a beard service, or a straight razor shave, sit back in the chair, and feel at home.
