Posture & Gait Assessment
Cristina Ramos is the founder of Functional Fitness in Sanford, FL — built on the belief that good movement isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you train.
It started with dance (a BFA from Florida State, followed by the stage in New York City). Then an injury taught her that talent doesn’t protect you from bad mechanics — your body needs to know how to move, not just how to perform. That curiosity turned into a career: certifications, rehab work, years coaching clients through every “fitness” fad you can name.
Then she found Functional Patterns, and everything clicked. No more isolated muscles working in a vacuum. No more movements that only make sense inside four studio walls. Just biomechanics — training the body in its most foundational movements, known as the Big 4: standing, walking, running, and throwing.
Today, Cristina guides clients through movement that makes sense for real bodies doing real things — not just in the studio, but everywhere else too.
Function first. Fitness forever.
