I specialize in watercolor, color and fine line tattoos. I love creating custom pieces for my clients. My favorite subject matter is nautical/sea life, Disney/cartoons, and abstract/merging styles. Making sure my clients have a safe and peaceful place to get tattooed has been and will always be my top priority.

The History of Moxie Tattoo:

Moxie Tattoo started as my (Jocelyn "Moxie's") Instagram handle back when I was apprenticing. As I evolved, so did Moxie Tattoo. I started my tattoo career in New Jersey where I completed my 2 year apprenticeship. I then moved to Los Angeles where I helped run a new shop location and learned so much about myself. Los Angeles was short lived, only 1 year, because tragedy struck my family. I moved back to NJ to be with my family and resided there for a couple years. In 2019, I moved to Florida to flee colder climates. I worked in a few local shops but soon realized that I was capable of running my own private studio.

After tattooing for over a decade, I decided to pull the trigger. In May of 2022, Moxie Tattoo became my first ever brick and mortar shop. The saying, "if you build it, they will come" has never been more true. I created a space where my clients could feel safe and comfortable. I teamed up with C.A.R.E. to spread awareness of SA in the tattoo industry and that year Moxie Tattoo won best tattoo shop by the City of Port Charlotte for 2023 and then again in 2024 and 2025.  I built this space as a private studio for myself. As a place where I could build myself and grow artistically in a peaceful space.

In October of 2025, myself and Michelle, owner of Doll Lash Studios, (located next door to Moxie Tattoo) decided to merge forces and work together in the same space. We had been in talks about this collaboration for over a year and we both finally decided to pull the trigger. We worked together beautifully until June 15 2026. I made the decision to part ways because I was going to be moving to St. Petersburg, FL to start a new life with my partner. It was a bitter sweet ending to our short term partnership and I was met with nothing but love, support and happy tears.

In July 2026 I opened my new private studio location in St. Petersburg. I am eager to see what I can accomplish in my new space and see the connections I can make with neighboring businesses and new clientele as well as hone my relationships with my existing clientele. I am very excited for this next chapter in my life. Moxie Tattoo is continuing to level up and grow. The future is bright!
