About
My name is Alexia Lauren Brown, or Lexi, as my friends call me. This is my 10th year with Salon Lofts! I have lived in Sarasota for 24 years and have been a licensed cosmetologist/hairstylist for over 14 years.
The most important thing I have learned while in this industry is to always do my best to listen to my clients needs and wants. It makes for a wonderful day when I can help someone feel great and confident about their look. I feel that it is important to recognize every individual and their lifestyle, while striving to perfect their desired image. I feel that there is always something new to learn in this industry and truly feel that it is an art.
I am most passionate about long hair, coloring, corrective color, balayage highlighting (free-form french technique as well as more modern lightening/color melting techniques) ombre, “lived in” color, womens cuts, and formal hair design (updo’s).
I feel that it is very important to keep the integrity of the hair as a top priority and will always do my best to share my honest, professional opinion with you.
I have had the privilege of being a part of and performing hair services for several local and charity events such as the Sarasota Film Festival, Hair of the dog, and Neurochallenge Fashion Show, to name a few. My work has also been shown in SRQ magazine.
I am trained and certified in Keratin Smoothing treatments, and use top of the line, high quality ammonia free hair color, as well as sulphate free, paraben free, cruelty free, silicone free, vegan products and retail.

What can I say about my experience with Alexia? Well first, she was super quick when I message her about a new client appointment and already off the bat super friendly and personable. During my first appointment with her she really took the time with me to figure out my hair goals and exactly what I wanted. As she colored my hair, was completely transparent and honest about what she was doing and why. During my entire appointment it felt like I was talking to an old friend that I’ve known forever.
