How do I describe my color artistry?
Im a Gemini. So by nature I create on a type of duality. I think the words that best describe my brand of hair are classy and modern mixed with bohemian and free spirited. When I look at my clientele I also think those words embody the style of the women who sit in my chair. My colors are very layered in dimension. I usually blend 2 or 3 colors to make my favorite tones. Im meticulous with how I lay my patterns and I take the time to make sure I get the best results I possibly can for each client. My business model works best for clients who enjoy personal attention to details, clients who enjoy taking the time to get results properly, and those who can appreciate not having to endure the hustle and bustle of a traditional salon set up
Guidelines and Policies for Booking with Me:
Thank you for understanding that my policies are vital to the sustainability of
my business. When booking with me you agree to these guidelines.
I have carefully created every policy and guideline below in a way that is designed to ensure that the service experience and quality of work delivered to all of my guests is the absolute best I can give them.
Pricing:
All of my balayage, corrective, and transformational service prices listed above are bundled into packages to make it easier for you to choose a service for booking. Your bundle will include your haircut, glaze, blowout etc and is based on timing. More traditional services can be based on stand alone pricing. I welcome all questions and am happy to consult with you by email to assist you in your booking process. You can find my email at the top of the page underneath my photo.
When you reserve an appointment with me, you are agreeing to the minimum service price for that appointment, with the understanding that pricing is on an AND UP basis.
Booking 3 hour plus appointment slots will require a 50% of service charge deposit to hold the time.
My appointments are first come first serve. Your appointment is not secure until the deposit is received. You have 48 hours to secure your requested date once we have consulted. After that the appointment time will go to the next client in queue.
If you cancel your appointment in under 48 hours the deposit is nonrefundable. Otherwise the deposit will go towards your hair service.
My technical colors and corrective colors:
I charge a base hourly rate of $100.00/hr for my time. Chemical costs are added to the cost of your appointment - I use this parts and labor structure to keep my pricing fair for all guests. The chemical cost is calculated based on the amount of product I use for YOU.
Other service pricing such as haircuts and basic colors etc can be found listed on my menu above.
Be aware I regularly do price increases at the start of every year.
My pricing is set and non negotiable and something I am not open to discussing or bargaining.
Late Arrivals:
Late arrivals can throw the day into chaos and cause a domino effect of unnecessary stress and tension for both my clients and myself, so my policy is as follows.
If you arrive 15 minutes past the start of your appointment, I may not be able to provide your full service, and I may need to reschedule you for another time when I'll be able to complete your service without rushing to stay on schedule for the rest of the day.
Cancellation Policy:
Please read my cancellation policy carefully. By booking, you are accepting these terms.
I require 48 hours notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Canceling or rescheduling after that timeframe will result in a fee that will be added to your service total at the time of your rescheduled appointment.
The fee is 25 dollars for every hour I scheduled for your service.
When you cancel with less notice it makes it harder for me to fill the time that was reserved for you, and causes me to lose money.
These terms are non-negotiable.
If these terms are not acceptable to you or are not something that you feel comfortable with or think that you would be able to uphold I understand, this simply means you are not a good fit for my particular business model and schedule.
Multiple Service Cancellation:
Thank you for understanding that canceling part of a service last minute still affects the sustainability of my business. If the appointment you book contains multiple services, then the terms of the late cancellation policy extends to all of the services initially booked. This means that canceling part of the service within the late cancellation period will still result in a cancelation fee even if you are still receiving other services.
Ex: Client has a service booked for base color, balayage, and haircut but tells me upon arrival that they will only need color. You are still responsible for letting me know that the other 2 services are not needed 48 hours before your appointment. Otherwise I am left with 2 unused hours on a 3.5 hour booking.
Conversely if you would like to add a service you did not schedule to your appointment you are welcome to ask but understand my schedule may not allow time for extras and I am not obligated to perform more services then you have scheduled. I will be happy to make an additional appointment for you at a later date.
Covid/ Illness Policy :
Staying healthy and well is my first priority for you and also for me, as it is a non-negotiable for me to continue to keep my business running.
I do require notice of illness. If you have visible symptoms ( fever, coughing, sneezing etc) I will likely require you to reschedule. If you show up with symptoms and you have not made me aware I will ask you to leave and reschedule. You will then be liable for that missed time. When in doubt just make me aware you are ill and allow me to decide what course of action is best. Exposing me to illness costs me money and causes me to have to cancel upcoming clients. I do not have the flexibility in my particular book to reschedule a weeks worth of clients and this causes more distress then it is worth to my health and my income.
If I decide to bring you in with minor symptoms I will require you wear a mask and I will do the same. That is non negotiable.
No Shows:
No shows are unacceptable and cause me to lose money.
For your convenience I do have text/email confirmations in place to remind you that your appointment is coming up. They arrive 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
My no show terms are non-negotiable and are at my discretion barring very rare circumstances like hospitalizations or true emergencies.
No call/no-shows will be charged a no-show fee that equals the cost of the missed services that must be paid before I will consider rebooking another appointment.
Habitual no shows will not be rebooked.
Corrective Color:
Corrective color will most likely take more than one session, and price quotes are always on an "and up" basis.
All new guests or anyone wanting a color correction, I do need to see pictures
and have a virtual/email consultation
before you book - this helps both of us.
Once I see your hair and have a clear understanding of your goal, I can give you an idea of if what you're looking for is something that I can achieve while maintaining the integrity of your hair. I can also tell you how many sessions it will take to get you where you want to be and give you an rough estimate of cost.
Service timing:
I know your time is valuable. I respect that as I run a business based on timing. I will be able to give you an idea of how long the service will take upon booking/consultation so that you can work the appointment into your schedule accordingly. Please know that while I do my best to keep appointments to the amount of time discussed, that it’s wise to allow for an extra buffer of time just in case.
No Abuse Policy
My salon space is very small and I spend 3 hours or more with guests regularly. My salon is a safe space for everyone I accept into it and I hold myself to high standards when it comes to not only how I create art for my guests but also to how I speak to them. I treat every client with fairness, transparency, integrity, and efficiency.
In return I expect the same from clients. I have a zero tolerance policy for abusive behavior. If any of the behaviors below are displayed in my presence you will be asked to leave immediately and you will not be allowed back.
1. Violence that is physical or non physical, including threats, abusive behaviour and language (verbal or written), and escalating agitation or body language. This includes the use of inappropriate words that I deem to be offensive or menacing. Threatening gestures. Derogatory sexual harassment. Loud screaming. Acts of perceived violence or threats of violence. ANY explicit or implicit challenge to my safety, my health, or my well being.
2. Unreasonable demands. A demand becomes unreasonable when I have explained a proper sequence of events in a process that I have been trained in and a guest demands that I do things in an unreasonable timeframe or unrealistic price point after telling them it is unrealistic or impossible. Chemical processing is not personal it is a scientific result. I am well trained in my areas of expertise. So relax, enjoy the service, and allow me to achieve your goal correctly and professionally.
Pledge to my clients.
You will be treated with decency no matter your race, income level, religion, or gender identity. I operate on transparency. So you will not be taken advantage of financially. You will always feel safe and welcome in my loft. And I will make sure you understand every process it takes to reach your hair goals. I will continue to get the current education to provide you with all the newest color techniques and hair designs. If for any reason I do not feel my skills can provide you with the best service I will happily direct you to someone who can help you.
