About
I have 32 years of experience in the beauty salon industry. I have in the past managed a salon. I was on the Polaris Cosmetology Board where I helped make a difference in how the students were being trained. I have done internships with cosmetology students where they worked close with me, learning and understanding the cosmetology business they were pursuing. I am also a portrait artist on my spare time. This has helped me to see each person's unique beauty and to be able to enhance and bring out the natural beauty in each individual. I believe in being professional and giving my best. To help me strive in giving my best, I continually attend training classes in hair, makeup, skincare and products. This will keep my clients and I updated on the newest trends. Most importantly, I believe in listening, communication and the client being the focus. I feel this is the key to building trust with each individual client. I want clients to leave feeling and looking better than when they came in.

After a long search for a hairdresser, I found Candy at Regis salon inside Great Northern mall years ago. Simply put, she's an AMAZING artist and it reflects in what she does with hair. I have long, layered, naturally blonde (dishwater blonde- blah) hair and I get thick highlights and lo- lights that are vibrant and stand out. Every other hairstylist I went to before Candy would try to make the highlights thin and blend in- which would make my highlights all blend together and give my hair a 1-tone look. Within a month my hair would look dull and brassy. Boring. Not Candy. Her methods are complex and produce phenomenal results. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I get compliments on my hair at LEAST twice a week. I just had a compliment yesterday and I haven't had my hair done since April! It is now July.
