Hello,
I'm excited to be a part of Salon Lofts!
My experience in the hair industry is spanning 15 years. My beginning years included High-end haircutting and coloring services in Suburban Detroit. The last 8 years being with Sassoon specializing and honing in on all aspects that make a haircut precise, yet wash and wear. I worked on both coasts beginning my journey at Sassoon New York. Spending three years building a clientele in the city and studying to teach the Sassoon cutting techniques. With a transfer to San Francisco, teaching academy courses went into full swing, while building a clientele as well. Then a few years later a transfer to Sasson in Chicago led to a Creative Director position and part-time client building in the Northbrook location. Again building on my passion for teaching the foundational skills of cutting the Sassoon Way, I soon found my self full time teaching in the Chicago location and then full-time building clients in the Sassoon Northbrook location shortly after. Over the years I traveled to Denver, LA, and Baton Rouge to share my haircutting knowledge with other stylists.
Another inspiring part of my journey has been doing hair at NY Fashion Week with the Sassoon team since 2013. I worked with designers such as Threeasfour, Eckhaus Latta, Maryam NassirZadeh, Namilia, Libertine, and more to come!
For me, doing hair is not work, but my passion. Whether it's a pixie cut, short haircut, men's cut, classic or creative haircut, some factors in what thoughtful haircuts include are suitability to the client's facial features, daily maintenance needs/wants, deciding on a "Look", combing techniques such as lines, layers, and graduation with personal taste and style of the client. These factors of the haircut are decided by always beginning each service with a consultation. We come up with a verbal agreement together before proceeding. The technique is executed on wet hair, then your hair is blown dry based on how you would like it dried or the most common daily styling you do or don't do, with emphasis on the ability to check the haircut. Then I check through for cleanliness, balance, and finishing touches! The part of the process where the whole look comes together in a beautiful package, You!
Thank you for taking the time to read through. It means the world to me!
see you soon!

Krissy is a hair angel. I have thin and extremely straight hair. She makes my hair look full with incredible movement. I get so many compliments on my hair. Almost fainted when Vidal closed and after some internet stalking I was so happy to find her new home! She also cuts my mother-in-law’s hair who has lots of hair and curly. My mother-in-law’s word “In my entire life I have never been happy with my hair, it now has style. I love it”
Krissy has cut my hair a few times now and I could not be happier with the grow out process that always lasts longer than any other cuts I’ve had. I appreciate the time she takes and detailed manner in which she does her haircuts. I have found my hair home at Salon Loft #4 Highland Park, in Krissy’s chair!!
i am a long-time client; I followed Krissy from Sassoon in downtown Chicago to Sassoon in Northbrook Court, and am delighted that she has opened her own hair studio in Highland Park's Salon Lofts.. Krissy pays great attention to line, form, and how hair moves naturally. Mary Dawson
