About
Mary went to cosmetology school at Academie Verbist in Antwerp, Belgium and later moved to the United States to continue her career in hair design. She specializes in color correction, balayage, and modern cutting techniques. She and her husband, Michael, are the founders and owners of Avivo Salon and Spa which operated in Vienna, Virginia for 18 years before moving to Salon Lofts in Tyson's Corner in 2019. Avivo was awarded Best of in Sun Gazette's in 2008 and Best of the Best in NovaLiving in 2004. Mary is fluent in English, Farsi, Dutch, and Turkish.
