I have made it my business to help others look good and feel better since the late 80s by being a listener. I aim to please. That said, I do have limitations so be sure to ask if you’re uncertain. I’ll do my best to match you with a stylist that suits. I consider myself more of an introvert, so if you like that sort of environment, you may be more comfortable with me. I also like short to medium length hair, and my strengths are precision and texture cutting, styling, round brush blowouts, weekly sets, single or multi-dimensional color, splash highlighting, and perms on shorter to medium length hair. In addition to schooling locally, I have studied in New York with top French companies such as Marcel Contier's Laboritoire' Biosthetique and Peter Kerschhagel's Aestelance, both natural and holistic approaches to haircare techniques and products, and also Patrick Aley's Phytologie and Horst Reckelbacher's Aveda lines.  I am currently using a natural hair care line from Taiwan called Esuchen.

My color lines have been Schwarzkopf of Germany, Framesi of Italy, Redken, Aveda, Pravana (created by former Redken executive, Steve Goddard), and currently I am using Rusk and Matrix. 

I have attended yearly educational seminars to study the late French Biochemist, Marcel Contier's teachings and philosophy. Contier' was a pioneer in the holistic approach to hair and skin care.  His products were in keeping with his overall and far-reaching philosophy of healthy skin, scalp and hair through the use of all-natural products as much as possible. His teachings continue to be an important part of my own life, along with proper nutrition, regular excrcise, sufficient hydration, ample rest and spiritual renewal.

I’m not one to use the kind of nebulous language that is often used on stage by “hair artists”. It became a pet peeve of mine when some teachers seemed to purposely talk in unspecific, more ethereal terms that made it difficult to learn. In my business I prefer a more down-to-earth, definitive, and straightforward approach. I want people to understand what I say and I want to hear what my clients want. Please feel free to bring photos and pictures, as I am quite visually inclined.
