About

Welcome to The Vanity Room. Due to our recent pandemic I felt it necessary to relocate from my previous salon for the safety and health of my clients and myself. I have worked in a salon since I was 12 years old and have been so fortunate to  be mentored by some of the best over the past 30 years. I was lucky to attend the Sebastian academy in LA, joined the Irvine Rusk team for 2 years, and continue in furthering my education at the Redken Exchange on 5th Ave. As a native New Yorker, I thrive in cutting edge techniques and styles in the beauty industry. My specialties are corrective color and bespoke cutting. My passion for people and education runs deep. In 2016 I launched a campaign to open a salon space at the Ronald McDonald house in Durham. I was able with other generous contributions create a salon space to service the families residing there. My loft will also serve at this time to the families every Sunday free of charge during this pandemic. Thank you for your support and l look forward to welcoming you to The Vanity Room.

Robin has been my stylist for over 5 years. She s simply the best at cutting and styling my hair! She's calm, cool, and attentive to every detail. Robin has the ability to listen deeply to me about .my hair concerns; which always translates into a great cut or style. When Robin is done with my hair I feel good, and my hair looks great!

Robin Vitale has been my hairstylist for several years. My mother is a retired hairdresser and she also is a client of Robin’s. Having been raised by someone in the industry I am able to see the difference between quality color and understand the difference between over processed hair and a poor haircut. Robin is the embodiment of a Master Stylist. She listens to her clients and sends them out not only looking great but with a style that is suited to them and color that is appropriate and lasts. She has my highest recommendation! Paula G.

Robin has been my hair dresser for a couple of years. What is great is when I have an emergency hair need (like my gray is showing) she figures out a way to get me in ASAP rather then making me make an appointment for 3 weeks down the road. She is nice and lets me work while she does my hair . Robin is very good at what she does - always make me look great! I would definitely would refer her. Leigh M.

Look no further, you've found the only hairdresser you'll ever need: Robin is a truly talented professional with a lifetime of experience in hair. I feel confident that I am in good hands with her. I don't tell her what I want done, instead I consult with her because I value her opinion and trust her to know which style, cut, and color will be right for each appointment I have. Her intuition is always spot on, she seems to know exactly what would be best for me at that moment. She really cares and takes time to be present with whoever is in her chair. Beyond Robins hair dressing ability one thing that makes her stand out and shine is her attitude. She is simply an outstanding human being, positive, ethical and kind. She offers insight and listens with the ear of her heart. She doesn't waste time with negativity And that makes her space a friendly, warm and sunny oasis. She has a connection and passion for helping families involved with The Ronald McDonald House and her passion for hair and this cause is admirable. I can absolutely say you will not find better in the Triangle area -Andrea
