Theresa West Barnes has been in the hair care industry, and worked professionally as a hair designer for over 20 years. She has extensive training and experience in cutting and styling, multi-dimensional hair color, bridal/special occasion hair amino smoothing treatments, and hair extensions.
Theresa regularly attends classes, as well as national hair shows and conventions to keep up with the latest trends, techniques and styles. She enjoys working with each client to create a look best suited to his or her individual style and tastes.

I just completed my 2nd hair appointment with Theresa. I loved the way my hair looked after the first appointment but my 2nd hair appointment result made me want to cry! After being disappointed so many times and going through stylists, I FINALLY found a stylist (Theresa) who gets me. She listened to me, advised best techniques and then produced exactly what I wanted each time. I will be going to Theresa for as long as she will have me! I just got a mens hair cut by Theresa for the first time Sunday and it is the best hair cut I have ever had and especially for such an unbeatable price. Im 30yr and I am super picky about my hair for a guy. I religiously get it cut every 4 weeks and spend a lot of time in the morning styling it. I care greatly and it has NEVER looked this good and I only have to spend 2-3 min in the morning on it now. She also is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the processes for what she was doing for my hair better than anyone ever has. I had Theresa taking care of my hair for more than 10:years, and she always did a fabulous job with the cut and color. However, last year, things changed. She seemed to be rushing through the cuts. I even asked her if she was already done, and she didn't react. This happened at four visits. I have very thick, curly hair which needs a good trim and layering. I was so disappointed that I ended up cutting it myself. It is not perfect but I am learning. I just don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a trim which seems effortless.

I received the Amino Smoothing Treatment a few weeks ago and I wanted to leave a review. In the past I had received numerous Keratin treatments. My hair is medium length, wavy and quite frizzy. So far I really love the Amino Smoothing Treatment. The entire process took about 2 hours and that included coloring and cutting my hair. The product had a nice scent. The Amino Smoothing Treatment does not contain formaldehyde or other harsh chemicals. It left my hair very soft and smooth, yet left some of the wave. I have absolutely no frizz. I have been testing it in the rain and humidity we have been having the past few days here in Central Ohio. My hair does go a bit wavy, but there is absolutely NO frizz!! I love it!!! My hair is easy to style. I love that I am left with some body in my hair. It is not stick straight, just no frizz. I can easily wear my hair wavy or straight. My only suggestion is to color your hair on a different day. This product does lighten your hair. When I received Keratin treatments there was always the worry of breathing in formaldehyde that is given off when your hair is flat ironed. Both the client and stylist are forced to breathe in the steam that is produced emitting formaldehyde into the air. I decided this was no longer ok with me and wanted a healthier option. The keratin treatments left my wavy frizzy hair stick straight with very little body. My hair felt weighed down. While it did a good job on the frizz, it left me with little to no body in my hair. I am very pleased with the Amino Smoothing Treatment. I am anxious to see how long it will last on my hair. I will be back again for another treatment when this one fades away.
