Got Curls??  I can help you love them!!  I have struggled with my curls and loving them since i was a child.  Having a mom with silky, smooth hair and a dad with curls neither one knew what to do and there were no salons or stylists to support us.  Fast foward to my first job in a salon as a shampoo assistant...I fell in love with the industry!!  I rushed home that night and told my parents at 15 I knew what I wanted to do.  I also had another love at the time which was cooking & food service.  I decided to follow the latter passion and attended Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.  STILL struggling with my hair I put that passion on the back burner literally lol.  I graduated with my bachelors in culinary arts & food service management.  I tried a couple jobs within my industry and I just did not have that same fire about the salon enviornment.  I sought out an apprenticeship with a local salon and began my journey.

I finally felt at home in a "job" and knew this would be my career.  I started taking classes on dry cutting which really hit home for me as I was able to provide a safer cutting option for my guests with curl & texture.  This then made me seek out curly education, and I found Lorraine Massey.  Lorraine was the OG creator of deva curl and was doing a lot of education in our area at the time and I decided I wanted to be a slightly different kind of stylist.  She taught myself and about 6-8 others and brought us up through her level system of training so we would be able to go to other salons and mentor stylists on curly education.

I have made a home in a few salons in the area over the past almost 20 years. (thank you to my loyal clients for walking with me all these years, I vow to be as loyal to you)  I love most everything about salons minus the lack of inclusion to ALL.  This brings me to Salon Lofts.  I am excited to be able to continue to provide a safe, caring, understanding enviornment to give you the tools and curls of your dreams.  As always, thank you for trusting me and i look forward to this new adventure with you.
